Whom Have I in Heaven but thee? and there is none upon the earth that I desire besides thee.

You remember you first love?  You know the girl or guy that you just could not take your eyes off of.  You spent all day thinking about them.  You moved on to Jr. High and things were a little more serious, but by High School, “you were totally into them”.  That’s the phrase we used, yes you really really liked someone when you were totally into them.  You talk to them on the phone for hours, you hang out just to be with them, you really are totally into them.

So, you are asking where this is going by now, so let me ask, have you ever totally been into God?  Have you spent all day thinking about God?  Have you just opened His Word and spent a few hours “hanging out” with God? Have you spent a solid hour or two with Him in prayer just communicating?   Are you really in love with God?

And He said to him, ” `YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’  Matthew 22:37

Jesus was asked, What is the greatest commandment? There is ten of them, surely one has more precidence over the others, right?  God does not want us to have any other idols before Him, pretty important is it number 1?  Nope.  How about do not kill, God is against us hurting his very creation - that is number one right?  Wrong.  How about not lying?  Wrong again.  Jesus said that the greatest commandment, is the one where you love God with all your heart, all your sould, and all your mind.  It is greater than the ten because if you do this one, the next ones come naturally.

That’s right, if you truly love God you want to obey the 10 commandments, will you fail, sure!  But it hurts and it is not a common every minute kind of lifestyle.  Instead one turns from it and lives a life totally into God.  It is a life that loves God with all it’s:

HEART

There are no comparisons, God is number one and God gets your full love.  To love with all your heart to is to be ready to do whatever pleases God and whatever brings Him the most glory.  It is ready to sacrifice and it is ready to serve.

SOUL/STRENGTH

That is you love God with all your LIFE.  You are willing to give up the comfort zone for the God zone.  You are willing to do what He wants and what He desires.    You don’t love your life more than God and you are willing to give your life to Him.  This encompasses all, this is to use everything with all it’s power for God.  You use your strength to fully serve Him.  You hold back not one single ounce of strength, you give it all to God!

MIND

To love God with all your mind is to apply yourself to learn about God.  You dive into His Word, you jump into prayer time with Him.  You listen to God and you learn from God.  Loving God this way means your mind is totally fixed on Him.  You think about God, you talk to God, you know God!

Are you totally into God?  Do you consider God your best friend (BFF for our younger readers)?  Is God constantly on your mind?  Are you in love with God?  Are you in agape love with God?  Do you love God so much that all you want to do is please Him, you want nothing in return?  What’s your relationship with God like?

I’m totally into God, my desire is to fall in love with Him more and more each day.  I desire to be close to Him.  I find my comfort and peace right the arms of my Lord.  Yes, I am happy to say, God, I am totally into you!

Praise the Lord this was a nice article that you wrote. His righteousness demands that unrighteousness be confronted.

Justice is applicable in man’s keeping of the prophecy. Holiness and righteousness demand there be justice on all which is contrary. Scripture identifies justice in regards to man’s experience in his fallen state. Man is judged according to his adherence to the law. The law was given to define that which is holy and that which is unholy.

Jesus is the perfect one to whom the law leads and He judges according to the law. Scripture states that although the law is not unjust, man questions if the holiness which was to be their life is now to their damnation. “And the commandment which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.” (Rom 7:10) Sin so that it may achieve its purpose in separating man from God worked mightily to oppose the law.

Death is justified due to sin and empowered due to man’s indwelling sin. When man is accused it is sin that provides Satan the basis to approach God’s throne. “What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid…” (Rom 7:7) “Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid” (Rom 7:13) All pertaining to God is just, holy and true.

Man is without excuse and it is pointless for him to seek justification apart from having his sin forgiven by the blood of Jesus. As demonstrated by the twenty four elders in the book of Revelation we have a new song. Our new song can only be sung by us for there is none other that has the testimony of the church. “…For thou was slain, and has redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.” (Rev 5:9)

Question: Sin purposes to separate you from God. What aggressive steps can you take to make sure that you have victory over sin?
